KARATE COLLEGE 2026

What an epic adventure! A proud crew from Kidokime-ryu Karate-do / Samurai Martial Arts dojo in Sparta, NC, brought the energy and spirit to the last-ever Karate College Karate Camp held June 25–27, 2026 at Radford University in Radford, Virginia!

This legendary multi-style martial arts extravaganza was founded back in 1988 by Dr. Jerry Beasley alongside absolute icons like the late GM Joe Lewis, GM Bill “Superfoot” Wallace, GM Jeff Smith, and Steve “Nasty” Anderson. And guess who was there from day one? Our very own Soke Bobby Briggs (then Sensei Briggs)! He tested for his NiDan right there in that historic first camp and has been part of the Karate College legacy ever since, even while serving our country overseas as active-duty military.

This year’s final celebration was extra special — a true melting pot of martial arts excellence! Attendees dove into seminars representing a fantastic variety of styles and systems, including Joe Lewis American Karate/Kickboxing, the Superfoot System, Jeet Kune Do (JKD) principles, traditional and modern karate disciplines, and cross-training from numerous other martial arts. It was the ultimate blend of power, strategy, and skill!

For three action-packed days (Thursday afternoon through Saturday evening), the group trained hard under world-class instructors. Highlights included powerful seminars across multiple styles and the thrill of watching GM Bill “Superfoot” Wallace himself conduct Black Belt testing for the Superfoot System. The camp wrapped up with a memorable graduation ceremony on Saturday at 5pm — the perfect finale to an unforgettable era!
